SaaiJai (สายใจ) carries our wish to connect hearts: people with people, people with nature, and today with tomorrow. We hope that time shared here becomes a bond that lasts long after we leave.
About an hour by car from Chiang Mai, then half an hour by small boat. Our starting point is a floating house on a lake in Si Lanna National Park.
When there are people you want to see again, a destination becomes more than a stop on a journey. SaaiJai is a floating ecovillage growing a community of places and people to return to.
Video captions and text within photos or drawings remain in their original language.
A small boat takes us into life on the water.SaaiJai DAYS
01 — Nature
Learning from lake and forest.
Swim in the lake, or head out on a kayak or SUP. Close to the water, the sounds of the forest and the breeze become part of your day.
The water we use, the food we eat, the things we discard all touch other lives. We want to try living alongside nature, starting with everyday choices that support regeneration and cycles of life.
02 — Culture
Even without the same language.
Sharing recipes, showing each other what we enjoy doing, and laughing together even when words fail. Living across cultures can begin around a shared table.
03 — Yourself
A day of doing nothing is welcome.
Watch the water. Stretch. Daydream. With fewer plans, we may rediscover what we really want to do. We want to leave room for that.
OFF-GRID LIVING
Care for what we share.
SaaiJai’s electricity is off-grid, independent of the power grid. With limited water, electricity and food supplies, we have a chance to pause and notice what we usually take for granted.
Moonlight on a quiet lake.
Limits invite us to be inventive. Sharing brings joy. Let life here become learning that stays with us when we return home.
GROW A VILLAGE, TOGETHER
Let’s build an ecovillage on the lake.
Live with nature. Bring our differences. Grow a village where life can flourish.
Cook a meal. Lend a hand. Talk about the future. Let’s grow this place through small things we do together.

A PLACE TO SHARE
Carrying a shared dream forward.
Travellers, families and children have gathered here for many years. The previous owner passed away a few years ago, and his wife took over the care of this place.
We were told that he used to say he hoped this could become a place for everyone to share.
The buildings have gradually aged, and the yoga sala and other areas need repairs. When his wife shared her concerns about the future of this place, the people gathered here began talking about what it could become.
A place to live alongside nature, where children and adults from different countries can meet and connect. Our first step is to renovate the damaged yoga sala into SaaiJai BAMBOO HUT: a circular gathering space built around bamboo, carrying that shared dream forward.
LITTLE MOMENTS, SHARED LIVES
More moments like these, shared together.
Caring for nature. Talking about the future. Fun, ease and the wish to do it again. We want a way of life that lasts because it feels worth living.

WELCOME HOME · ยินดีต้อนรับกลับบ้าน
Next time we meet, let it be “welcome home.”
People and nature connected, with life, wisdom and joy flowing between us. Let’s enjoy creating that future together.
